Happy Birthday Dad!

The meeting of the minds...lol.

Dad opening his gifts..this one had diet mountain dew and chewbacko...as lil Aaron calls it.Dad celebrated his 76th Birthday yesterday, June 16...we surprised him with a pizza party and ice cream cake. We were all there except for Adam and he was missed terribly by me, but he will be home this weekend. The above picture is Dad with his 2 youngest grandsons and his great grandson...they refer to themselves as the 3 stooges...and there is never a dull moment when these 3 get together...or should I say 4 since Dad is the biggest instigator.

Here are a few more pictures of the evening.

Catchin' up

Jeez, how time seems to get away from me. I've been so busy with The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life...it was June 5 and our team did extremely well. We raised 13, 740.00 this year with a grand total of all teams raising $65,000.00!! Then the next week I was director of our church's Vacation Bible School...so it was work until 5 then VBS from 6 to 8:30....it's a good thing I have a very understanding hubby. So this week I am just trying to get things caught up so I can enjoy my new grandbaby next week. Nicole is scheduled for a c-section this Friday, June 19. Adam will be home also late on the 19th to spend a few days...we have certainly missed him but I think he is enjoying his internship this summer and we recieved good news that he made the Dean's List again!! Great job Adam!! Here are a few pictures...we also have a new grand-puppy..his name is Spike.
Aaron completing the first lap...the survivor lap..this is always emotional.
Aaron, Nicole and lil Aaron, oh yeah and Spike of course.
Well, lil Aaron is getting braver with his puppy, he will actually hold him now.

Lil Aaron was practicing his picture taking...so these he took of great grandma and me.
Watch for new pictures soon of the new grandbaby!!

Coloring Eggs

Since the men in the family were gone on their annual fishing trip. Nicole and lil Aaron called and invited me to come over for grilled hot dogs and to color eggs. We had a great time and Aaron did a wonderful job on his eggs. He made some camouflage, wrote names on a few and even made one for great grandma. As you can see he has quite an assortment of bright colors and a lot of hard boiled eggs to eat.

Lost first tooth

How exciting...lil Aaron has lost his first tooth. He was very excited and it has been a long week of working to get it lose enough to come out...and although he thought it was extremely painful he wanted no part of anyone trying to pull it for him, so at school on Friday at latch key, he was bumped in the mouth and out it popped. He was wanting to lose it at school so he could get a special treasure box for it. The tooth fairy came that night and left him a one dollar bill and 4 quarters.

Lil Aaron sang at church a couple of weeks ago...he sounds so cute. He sang again this week and made me cry....I'm so proud of him. Of course, big Aaron thought I was being silly..but hey...what can I say about hormones!!LOL I tried to post the video of him singing, but for some reason it won't load up.

Adam is coming home later this week for our Relay for life Trivia Night...seems like he has been away for months! Can't wait to see him and get one of his big ole bear hugs.

Not much going on around here...just the usual working, etc.

Nicole went for another ultra sound last week, the baby is growing and decided that she(at least that is what we are 90% sure of) didn't want to cooperate and show us her privates....but I am still leaning toward a girl. They did say that everything looks great. Due date is still June 19th. It's getting closer and closer....whoohoo!!

I will post some new pictures after our trivia night...should be some good ones.

Oh....I read a really good book this week it's called "The Shack" very much worth reading and I recommend it highly.

Dustyn's Tiger Cub Ceremony

We went to Dustyn's Blue and Gold Awards ceremony last night, they honored the Veterans and could participate in making a decorated cake in honor our our country. The cakes had to be made only by them without any parental help..I think he did an outstanding job....hmmmm...maybe we have another chef in the making. He also received many patches and belt loops. Congradualations Dustyn!!

Sharing the latest news

Aaron and Nicole went for their ultra sound and they are blessing us with a grand-daughter!! We are so excited as many of you can well guess. Lil Aaron went along and was just as excited...he says a baby sister will be just fine. They said everything looks great and thankfully Nicole is finally feeling much better.

Adam is doing fantastic. He made the Deans list for the fall semester...we are very proud of him, he is working hard at his new job and seems to really like it and is TA in one of his classes this semester. He is hoping to go to tour a possible culinary school during spring break. It's so hard to believe that he only has 1 more year of college.

Joe and I are doing well. I had a little car accident 3 weeks ago, a chunk of concrete flew off a truck, bounced down the highway in front of me and hit my car, broke out the drivers side headlight and bend the fender. God was watching over my mom and I, if it had been just another inch higher it would have went through my windshield and possibly hit me or mom. I have thanked God many times since then. My car is now fixed. It was very scary!
